Winter Wonderland!

21st January 2015

The day started badly – imbedding car into snowdrift in “Wee Buachaille” carpark and if it wasn’t for the kind intervention of four passing mountaineers I’d be there yet – thank you!  Once on the path for Coire nan Lochan there was chance to appreciate the day – beautiful!  The distribution of unstable windslab is widespread due to the shifting wind direction and steady low temperature.

A thought provoking section of the Lochan path.

Hard to reconcile this section of the Lochan path today with the torrent here in thaw conditions (pictured above).
