Strong winds and heavy precipitation. Wild at altitude.

15th March 2018

Heavy rain overnight followed by a wet and windy morning in the Glen. It became colder during the day and precipitation turned to snow above 600 metres by mid afternoon.

Areas of instability remain on Northerly aspects and new windslab is beginning to build in any areas sheltered from the very strong South East winds.

Light was pretty flat at higher levels. Above, good to get back on the skis after being on foot to a snow profile site.
