Warmer but not roasting…

14th March 2018

Temperatures on the higher summits in Glencoe remained close to freezing at lunchtime. As the warmer temperatures crept up the hill during the morning there was a noticeable blackening of exposed rock at lower elevations.

Conditions were ok for walking into the corrie today. With severe East South Easterly gale force winds forecast for Thursday walking conditions could be challenging tomorrow. Temperatures are forecast to drop again reaching 600 metres by dark.
