A lovely spring morning

9th April 2018

Overnight, it was just cold enough above 900 metres to produce a very thin icy surface layer on the snowpack. It was a lovely spring morning in Glen Coe today unfortunately it didn’t last through the day, clouds arrived before mid-day and light isolated rain tried to fall but it was mostly dry.  However, at the time of this report the snowpack is thawing but generally stable.
