Mild and dry with some good views

14th January 2022

Today was drier than recent days  with light winds, the freezing level remained above the summits. There were some very good views high up while clouds  developed at lower levels. The remaining snow was continuing to gradually thaw although should start to refreeze as the freezing level lowers tonight. Largest areas of snow remain on North to East aspects above 850 metres, elsewhere the snow has become very patchy.
