Unstable cornices

Heavy riming on rocks at higher levels.
There is plenty of snow around. The ski patrol hut at an altitude of about 860m is almost buried.
On the way down I found a small cornice. I carefully approached from above, one section collapsed, and this crack ran along the rest of it. Cornices are unstable!
