Cornice collapse.

Stob Coire nam Beith looking very alpine this morning.
There are some large piles of cornice debris around. The debris in this picture probably came down yesterday (Monday). It is hard to judge the scale, but I suspect that the big block is larger than a person. I would have gone over to use my ski poles to show some scale, but given what was hanging above (see pictures below) did not think it would be a good idea.

The view North to Ben Nevis. Note the large full depth avalanche on Sgurr a Mhaim (on the left of the picture). I am not quite sure how large it is, but to be able to clearly see it from here it must be pretty substantial
