Winter Wonderland!

The day started badly – imbedding car into snowdrift in “Wee Buachaille” carpark and if it wasn’t for the kind intervention of four passing mountaineers I’d be there yet – thank you! Â Once on the path for Coire nan Lochan there was chance to appreciate the day – beautiful! Â The distribution of unstable windslab is widespread due to the shifting wind direction and steady low temperature.

The Southern flank of Am Bodach, starting point for many traversing the Aonach Eagach.
Hard to reconcile this section of the Lochan path today with the torrent here in thaw conditions (pictured above).
