Cornice triggered avalanches

A rise in temperature caused sections of the cornice on the Eastern aspect of Coire nan Lochan to collapse triggering slab avalanche activity.
Thaw conditions caused this wet slide which reached the Lochan path
Debris below broken cornice line just visible in flat light
Crown wall just visible below notch in cornice – plenty of large cornices still hanging in, there!
