More “Festive” Weather.

26th December 2016

The weather was a bit more in the Christmas spirit today in that it was snowing. However,  but I have to say the snow was not exactly deep and crisp and even. Strong winds meant that the snow that fell blew around a lot. Eventually it tended to either get packed into sheltered locations, or sublime back into the atmosphere, leaving a lot of the hill was quite scoured. It was nice to see things looking a bit more wintry than yesterday.

Conditions at around 550 meters during a snow shower, pretty wild!

The ski area, with large areas obscured by blowing snow.

Lots of blowing snow at 700 meters.  Festive or not?  You decide.
