Another great day but signs of a change coming

20th March 2018

Cold and dry with light winds again today. There was little change in the snowpack – hard, icy and frozen in most places with some localised areas of windslab in sheltered areas.

The high cirrus cloud in the pictures is a good indication that deteriorating weather is on it’s way. Tomorrow is forecast to be windy with snow turning to rain.

Stob Dearg, Buachaille Etive Mor.

Good snow cover in the Glencoe ski area.

Ben Nevis from Glencoe.

Clach Leathad on the right with Stob Ghabhar more distant on the left. The high level cloud is an indication that the weather will deteriorate tomorrow.

A great day to be enjoying the view from Meall a’ Bhuiridh.
