Wet & Mild

15th January 2019

Overnight and for most of today the freezing level has been well above the summits this was accompanied by fairly constant rain, this has completely removed any new snow amounts. Only isolated old patches of snow remain these are confined to sheltered hollows above 950 metres mainly on Northerly aspects. The winds were strong particularly over the summits from a Westerly direction.
