Mild conditions

Mild conditions continued to affect the area with the freezing level above the summits. Periods of intermittent light rain at all levels with strong Westerly winds. The snowpack continues to slowly thaw and diminish. Localised wet snow instabilities exist mainly on steep North-West through North to Easterly aspects above 900 metres. Gully exits and steep coire headwalls are particularly affected with cornices prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
