Mild wet and windy

20th February 2019

New snow on the highest slopes late on Tuesday turned to heavy rain at all levels overnight as freezing levels rose well above the summits. Lighter rain has continued through much of Wednesday and has been accompanied by strong mainly South-West winds. Outlook is becoming drier but still mild with freezing levels well above the summits.
