Misty and Mild

14th February 2019

The freezing level has remained above the summits with temperatures of around plus 3 degrees celsius. The area was covered by extensive low cloud with constant drizzle which turned to light rain at times. The winds were fresh to strong from a South-Westerly direction. There’s plenty of snow melt running off the hills which is rapidly depleting the snow cover.
