Very stormy conditions with deep unstable windslab forming.

12th March 2019

Stormy conditions are affecting the area. New snow which is now fairly persistent and heavy along with strong South-Westerly gales are forming areas of deep unstable windslab in many sheltered areas. Outlook for Wednesday is similar with more snow throughout the period which will be heavy at times. The Avalanche Hazard will be High. Avalanches and cornice collapse will occur.
