Snow showers with poor visibility

6th April 2019

After a clear cool night it started to snow quite heavily during the morning laying 3-4 centimetres of new snow in sheltered locations mainly above 900 metres. The winds were generally light from the East-North-Easterly direction. Minus one degree celsius at 1100 metres this morning but the freezing level slow rose during the course of the day.

The light cover of new snow helped improve the ski conditions, however rain was on its way!
