New snow overnight and this afternoon, blustery.

18th March 2020

New snow overnight and this afternoon with blustery South-Westerly winds gave a significant amount of wind transport and drifting onto sheltered lee areas. Unstable windslab exists in many sheltered areas with fragile cornices above. The older snowpack is firm and icy in exposed locations, serious run out potential exists in the event of an uncontrolled slip or fall.
