Moist snowpack

1st February 2022

Mild and damp conditions overnight, cooler and drier today. Winds have been strong  to gale generally Westerly. Outlook is cooler for tonight with very light new snow then milder for Wednesday with light rain or drizzle. The snowpack which is mainly in the higher Northerly and Easterly corries is soft and moist with general good stability, isolated surface wet snow instabilities exist on the steepest slopes but these are generally avoidable. New snow amounts overnight are not expected to be significant.
