Another good day.

7th March 2022

Cold, dry and mainly clear conditions continue to affect the area giving another widespread overnight frost at all levels. The snowpack is bone hard with an icy surface in many areas. The consequences of an uncontrolled slip or fall at present are serious and dire.  Crampons and axe are essential. Continuing dry and cold for much of Tuesday winds will initially be strong increasing gale or severe gale through the day.
