Cold dry North-Easterly airflow.

30th March 2022

Cold arctic conditions will continue with very light falls of new snow possible later in the day. The snowpack will remain firm and icy giving serious consequences in the event of an uncontrolled slip or fall. Crampons and ice axe along with the skill to use are essential for any form of snow travel due to the unforgiving nature of the snow at present. Fresh cornices, if they form, will be fragile.
