Wet and Thawing

Wet and windy conditions returned today. Precipitation was rain at all levels and the snowpack was thawing, river levels were high. The thaw is forecast to continue tomorrow before temperatures drop on Tuesday night and more wintry conditions return.

Looking up the East ridge of Stob Coire nan Lochan, while the ridge has limited snow, plenty remains in the corrie.

As good as the view into the Stob Coire nan Lochan got today.

Looking towards the head of the the Lost Valley

Approaching Stob Coire nan Lochan, river levels are high, while the snow is becoming increasingly patchy at this height a slip on these remaining snow patches would have serious consequence.

Coire na Tulaich, Buachaille Etive Mor

Looking down the Lairig Gartain towards Stob Coire Altruim and Stob na broige, Buachaille Etive Mor.

Very little snow remaining on Stob Coire Raineach, Buachaille Etive Beag.
