Another cold start to the day…

27th January 2023

Another overnight frost down to lower levels, the freezing level was around 850 metres this morning but slowly rising during the day, midday summit temperature was minus 1.5 degrees Celsius. Today it was predominately dry with light to moderate winds from a South-Westerly direction. The snowpack still remains generally frozen and stable.

Looking at the North-Easterly aspect of Meall a’ Bhuiridh staring at around 850 metres to over 1000 metres.

Near the summit on Meall a’ Bhuiridh the sun was trying hard to break through the clouds.

The 3 Sister’s of Glen Coe, still reasonable snow cover at the head of the coirie’s like Coire Gabhail and Coire nan Lochan.
