Cold with overnight snow showers

18th January 2023

A cold West to North-Westerly airflow continues to affect the area. Snow showers fell above 300 metres overnight but these were generally light. In-depth weaknesses persist on steeper slopes where deeper accumulations of windslab exist. Outlook is remaining cold with snow showers (amounts uncertain)

Met Speedo Mick this morning after his day to the very cold summit of Ben Nevis with a guide wearing only a pair of speedos (and crampons). He is raising funds for mental health issue’s. Check him out at Speedo Mick’s final stomp.

After that foray up the Ben, Mick’s budgie must surely have died?
