Dreich

24th January 2023

The snowpack continued to thaw throughout today. Colder tomorrow, so things should freeze up above 800 metres for a couple of days before a rise in temperature on Friday.

Perhaps we need a combination word for dreich and mizzle ? Answers on a postcard. That would have been a perfect title for the blog today.

The great water cycle continued:

From snow, to water, to burns to sea. The snow is vanishing from you and me. From sea to sky then clouds roll in. To hopefully fall as snow again.

The West face of Aonach Dubh. Very little left.

In recent years, the gully climbs on this face have struggled to form consistently.

A murky Glencoe

From snow, to water, to the sea, to hopefully return as snow at a later date.
