Becoming misty through the day.

23rd February 2023

Clear conditions overnight and early this morning gave way to misty conditions with trace amounts of new snow. The old snowpack which exists mainly in the higher North and East facing corries remains firm and is icy in places.

Milder overnight with light sleet on the highest slopes, colder and dry on Friday. The snowpack will re-freeze giving rise to more extensive icing on steep slopes with some serious consequences in the event of an uncontrolled slip or fall.
