Settled cool conditions with sunshine.

25th February 2023

Cold clear conditions overnight gave a frost at all levels, Saturday has been  a fine day, settled with sunshine, winds have been light from the North. The snowpack is mainly firm and icy with generally good stability.

Outlook for Sunday is similar, calm and clear with high pressure being the dominant feature. The limited snowpack will mainly exist in the higher Northern and Easterly corries. Firm and icy snow conditions are to be expected with serious consequences in the event of an uncontrolled slip or fall. Crampons and axe required if you are venturing onto snowy areas.
