Another fine day.

4th March 2023

Calm and sunny conditions today. The snowpack is generally firm and icy in places with some softening on slopes affected by the sun. Stability is good.

Outlook is for a trace of new snow  which may form isolated pockets of windslab in gully exits, these areas should generally be avoidable.  In watercourses accumulations of very slick water ice may become masked by a light cover of new snow presenting a definite hidden slip factor.
