Mild and moist.

30th March 2023

Mild conditions have affected the area, rain overnight was heavy at times becoming occasional drizzle today. The freezing level is well above the tops with summit temperatures today in the region of +2 to + 4 degrees Centigrade. Temperature outlook is similar but at least it is forecast to be dry. The diminishing snow cover is moist and is generally stable, some of the older snow remains quite firm and unforgiving on the higher exposed slopes. With the milder conditions loose rock will present a hazard.
