Showers and Sunny Spells

21st March 2023

Last nights rain cleared during the morning, drier and brighter with sunny spells and showers through the day. Light South-Westerly winds with the freezing level above the summits. The remaining snowpack is wet and thawing at all elevations and is generally stable. Most cover remains in high Northern corries.

Looking ahead, becoming unsettled overnight with snow down to around 800 metres. Strong to gale or severe gale Southerly winds.

Heavy overnight rain evident from the high burn level from Coire nan Lochan.

Views across to  Stob a Ghlais Choire and Sron na Creise, Buachaille Etive Mor in the distance.

North-Easterly aspects of Meall a Bhuiridh.

Not much snow remaining on Stob Dearg, Buachaille Etive Mor.

Looking to the distant bealach of Coire Gabhail and the Lost Valley Crags.
