Easter Saturday, another fine day…..

8th April 2023

Today was another fine, dry day with good visibility. The Glen Coe hills and paths were alive with walkers, climbers and many tourists. Unfortunately the Glen Coe mountain rescue had to be called out to an incident on Stob Dearg – Buachaille Etive Mor so take care over this Easter week-end.

Stob Dearg – Buachaille Etive Mor, the helicopter can be seen going to assist an injured person.

The Aonach Eagach ridge.

Snow fields still exist on Stob coire nan Lochan.

Looking into Coire Gabhail (the lost valley) and the 3 sisters of Glen Coe.

Some snow still remains at the head of Lairig Eilde and on Stob Coire Sgreamhach.

Meall a’ Bhuiridh and Creise.

Looking Northwards from near the summit of Meall a’ Bhuiridh, the snowy remains can be seen in the distance of the Grey Corries between Fort William and Spean Bridge.
