A dreich, damp day with poor visibility……

The freezing level slowly rose above the summits, at first some snow fell mainly above 950 metres then sleet/rain only a light dusting of new snow at the higher elevations. Winds were moderate to fresh from a Southerly direction.

The Aonach Eagach ridge looking blacker on the lower slopes due to milder conditions.

Looking into Stob Coire nam Beith.

Looking into Stob Coire na Lochan, avalanche activity was reported in this high coire yesterday involving a party of 3 climbers. See photo below, difficult to see crown wall and the debris.

Stob Dearg and Coire na Tulaich ~ Buachaille Etive Mor.

Meall a’ Bhuiridh and Sron na Creise see visibility in photo below.
