Sunshine

7th January 2024

High pressure conditions now dominate and early morning cloud soon cleared to give a lovely sunny day. After an overnight frost the freezing level rose to around 500 metres. The snow is now very firm in most locations with a softer surface layer above around 950 metres. High pressure will continue to give calm dry conditions for the next few days, although with a bit more cloud  cover than today.
