A bit of a mizzly day….

1st February 2024

Last night the freezing level lowered to around 600 metres with some light new snow fall mainly above 650 metres.  This morning didn’t quite turn out as I expected, what I was hoping for was dry, cool conditions with moderate winds but it was very damp with rain/mizzle and strong winds.

The canyon on Meall a’ Bhuiridh you can see the colour difference between the old refrozen snow and the new fresh snow which fell last night much whiter lying in isolated patches.

Looking into Stob Coire nan Lochan with a light cover of new snow mostly above 800 metres.
