Frost free……

13th December 2024

Today was much milder than of late, plus 6 degrees celsius at sea level with minus 2.4 degrees celsius at 11oo metres. It was mostly dry just some very light precipitation that was almost negligible, the winds were light South-Westerly. A lot of the icy paths still remain but are starting to slowly thaw. Getting much milder by tomorrow afternoon.

Cloudy over the Aonach Eagach ridge.

Gearr Aonach and Aonach Dubh with Stob Coire nan Lochan in between but hidden by the clouds.

North-Easterly aspect of Stob nan Caber still quite snowy with Beinn Fhada on the right.

Looking into Coire Gabhail (lost valley).

Stob Dearg and Coire na Tulaich.

The 3 Sister’s of Glencoe.

Icy areas starting to thaw particularly at lower elevations.

Meall a’ Bhuiridh – Glencoe Mountain ski area.
