Mild conditions with mizzle….

27th December 2024

The mild conditions have continued to affect the area with low clouds and drizzle (mizzle). Temperatures were plus 10 degrees celsius at sea level and plus 3.4 degrees celsius at 1200 metres with light South-Westerly winds. Visibility was poor to today so see yesterdays post for the remaining snow which unfortunately amounts only to thawing patches, mainly around coire rims and in sheltered gullies on North-East and East aspects above 850 metres, many other areas are snow free.

Low cloud lingering on most of the Glencoe hills today.

More snow patches on Meall a’ Bhuiridh which seems to hold the most snow at present.

Beinn Fhada and Gearr Aonach with Coire Gabhail (lost valley) in between.

Gearr Aonach and Aonach Dubh.

Stob Dearg and Coire na Tulaich – Buachaille Etive Mor from Altnafeadh.

The 3 Sisters of Glencoe as mentioned by name in photos above.
