New snow today…. thawing tomorrow!

19th December 2024

The freezing levels lowered late yesterday afternoon and fell to around 450 metres and rain turned to snow showers at higher elevations. New snow accumulations are generally quite shallow and fell to around 360 metres particularly at the more easterly end of Glencoe. West-North-Westerly winds were strong at first but eased through the day. Midday temperatures at 1000 metres were minus 4 degrees celsius.
