Slightly cooler conditions.

It was slightly cooler today and not as windy but the winds were still quite strong from a South-Westerly direction. Squally precipitation fell mostly as rain but at times a mixture of rain and hail it also gave a very light dusting of new snow during the morning mainly above 950 metres. The freezing level fell during the course of the day to around 900 metres accompanied by further snow showers mainly above 800 metres.

Meall a’ Bhuiridh this morning.

This morning the west face of Aonach Dudh on the left with the summit of Stob Coire nan Lochan above and centre, An t Sron on the right.

Looking into Stob Coire nam Beith, Diamond and Church Door seen close to the largest area of snow with the summit of Stob Coire nan Beith on the right.

A group on Meall a’ Bhiuridh at around 700 metres, the top of Creag Dhubh 749 metres in the distance.
