Blue sky day.

5th April 2025

Another beautiful day here in Glen Coe. Cool conditions overnight gave way to a milder sunny day. Shaded areas such as gullies and hollows remained cool maintaining a firm surface on stubborn old snow patches which mainly exist above 900 metres.

Cool conditions overnight will give a frost maintaining a firm and possibly icy surface on the remaining snow patches. These areas need consideration for route planning as slips could result in an uncontrolled fall with serious consequences in the form of exposed rocks. Clear and sunny with winds decreasing through the day. Outlook similar for Monday with light variable winds.
