New snow fell overnight but this turned to heavy rain this morning as freezing levels rose above the summits. Colder conditions are expected to return with snow showers affecting slopes mainly above 800 metres. Possibility exists of more extensive snowfall later on Thursday and this may affect the extent of the avalanche hazard. Not the best day for photos, most remaining snow in the higher sheltered corries and gullies.
