Snow loss yesterday a dusting of new snow today.

The recent snowfall of two days thawed at all elevations yesterday then last night the freezing level fell to around 850 metres and precipitation fell as light snow down to around 800 metres. Today the moist snow of yesterday was firm and stable, new snow amounts were limited in extent to just a light dusting with the greatest accumulations on North to East aspects mainly above 950 metres. Winds were fresh to strong from a southerly direction with scattered precipitation the freezing level slowly climbed to around 1100 metres by the afternoon.
