White out on the higher summits.

18th January 2026

The freezing level was around 950 metres. A predominantly dry day, cloudy over the higher summits giving some white conditions particularly in the morning. Winds were South-Easterly moderate to fresh in strength.

The Aonach Eagach ridge.

 

Stob Dearg and Coire na Tulaich – Buachaille Etive Mor.

Folks on Meall a’ Bhuiridh at around 570 metres.

 

Some lads bagging a couple of munro’s this is on Meall a’ Bhuiridh

 

With his mate just behind, not the best of visibility.

 

Then on they went down the west ridge towards Creise hope they found it.

 

Summits rocks at 1107 metres well frosted and rimed with ice.
