Dry and bright….
19th February 2026
Today the strong cold South-Easterly winds eased quite considerably and brief periods of sunshine broken through to give a bright day. The freezing level rose to around 700 metres by midday and it remained dry throughout the day.
On the left the West face of Aonach Dubh, centre Diamond and Church Door buttresses then the West summit of Stob Coire nam Beith with An-t- Sron on the right.
Still cold with plenty of frozen water courses on the hillsides this might change tomorrow as some rain spreads in from the west.
