Back to Winter conditions with much scouring and drifting.

25th March 2026

Winter returned overnight with new snow lying down to 300 metres first thing this morning. Strong winds have scoured many windward slopes which are becoming firm and icy in places. Much of the windblown snow has formed areas of windslab in wind sheltered locations.

Becoming dry and less windy overnight, it will remain cold. Instabilities will persist in areas of deeper windslab, cornices will be fragile and prone to collapse. For more details check out the report.
