New snow and very strong winds overnight and today have scoured exposed slopes and formed deep drifts and unstable windslab in wind sheltered locations. More snow is forecast tonight becoming milder in the morning as the freezing level rises briefly above the summits, cooler conditions later in the day with light snow showers are expected.
