New snow overnight. Wet and mild outlook.

16th March 2026

New snow fell to around 400 metres overnight driven on by strong South-Westerly winds. Deep drifts of snow and unstable windslab exists in sheltered gullies and on lee slopes. Mild and wet conditions tonight will give a period of instability with a degree of improvement with a return to drier conditions. See report for more details.
