Warm conditions continue to affect the area.
20th March 2026
It was another dry day with some sunshine and warm spring conditions. The freezing level has remained well above the summits with light variable winds which were generally Southerly. The snowpack surface is slowly thawing and softening but the overall snowpack stability remains good. The greatest continuous snow amounts exist mainly on North to Easterly aspects above 850 metres patchy cover below this level.
Looking down and across to Stob Coire nan Lochan from the summit of Bidean. Many thanks to Brian Morrison for the last 3 photos.
