Wintry Easter Sunday…..

After storm Dave passed through it has left very wintry conditions. It was a wild day on the hill today with strong Westerly winds with unexpected stronger gusts. lots of drifting snow on to Easterly aspects. The freezing level was around 550 metres. “Not the best Easter egg rolling conditions.”
Last Blog for Glencoe as the SAIS winter season 2025/26 comes to an end today. We will start again in November or December 2026 depending on conditions.
Glencoe Mountain ski staff getting systems running after last nights storm, thanks to them for all their hard work this season.
North ridge on Meall a’ Bhuiridh it was a blustery day with lots of wind blown snow travelling around.
Wind scouring and redistributing snow forming unstable deposits of windslab in sheltered locations, these will continue into tomorrow.
