A cloudy and wet day with the freezing level above the summits. Rain at all elevations with moderate Southerly winds.

Fresh overnight snow accumulations on many aspects above 300 metres. During the day the snowpack has started to thaw with wet snow instabilities evident on steeper aspects with deeper accumulations.

A slower thaw than initially anticipated with ongoing wet snow instabilities remaining for the coming period. Cooler again Saturday night into Sunday.

 

New snow accumulations before the freezing level rose above the summits.

 

Wet snow instabilities on a steep North-East aspect. Meall a Bhuiridh around 850 metres.

 

Dripping ice at all elevations.

 

Some locals out and about.
