Cold and bright with occasional snow showers.

Cold conditions have affected the area with freezing at all levels. Summit temperatures today were – 9.2 C. Winds have been generally from the North moderate to fresh giving a high wind chill factor. Widespread icing exists in watercourses, paths and areas of old snow with some serious consequences.
